Pixar’s Cars franchise is about to have a much bigger presence at the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. In a brochure for next spring, Disneyland Paris announces that the new attraction Cars Route 66 will be arriving in Summer 2020.
Cars Route 66 has the following description from Disneyland Paris: “Buckle up and join Cars stars Lightning McQueen and Mater for a fun filled family road trip where you’ll discover natural and mechanical wonders along the legendary Route 66”. The specifics of this attraction have not been released. An exact opening date isn’t known at this time either. Looking at the map, Cars Route 66 will replace the Studio Tram Tour. This attraction opened with the park on March 16, 2002.
Along with a new map being released for the Walt Disney Studios Park, a new map for all of Disneyland Paris was also found. This showcases the entire resort and includes Cars Route 66.
