This morning the new entrance opened for Mickey’s Philharmagic at Disney California Adventure. This new entrance has the look and feel of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and creates a more visible entrance to the Sunset Showcase Theater. It can be found right next to Award Weiners in Hollywood Land.
Along with a new Marquee on Hollywood Blvd at Disney California Adventure, there is also new carpeting. The cast members for the attraction also have new costumes. What do you think the new look for the entrance and the cast members?
The Sunset Showcase Theater was originally home to MuppetVision 3D at the Disneyland Resort. Through the years, it has also been used for movie previews, the Frozen Sing-A-Long, and occasionally Annual Passholder events. With the digital marquee, it appears that its future will still be able to be flexible.
On top of the changes outside, inside some new effects were added. This included an addition to the Donald Duck moment at the end of the show. Check them out here:
