The Main Street Electrical Parade is returning to the Disneyland Resort this summer for a limited run. The classic Disney parade will be performing nightly at Disneyland from August 2nd through September 30, 2019.
The Main Street Electrical Parade made its debut at Disneyland on July 17, 1972. For decades it made magic for Disney guests at the Disneyland Resort with its thousands of sparkling lights and electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds. 24 years after it debuted, it ended its initial run on November 25, 1996. Since then it made appearances both at Disney California Adventure and also Disneyland. It also appeared at the Walt Disney World Resort. It has also appeared in various versions at Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland.
The Main Street Electrical Parade was also the inspiration for Disney’s Paint the Night Parade. This parade originated at Hong Kong Disneyland and was recreated for the Disneyland Resort. It debuted at Disneyland as a part of its 60th anniversary and then returned with a new Incredibles float replacing the Frozen float during a limited run in 2018.
