Pixar Pal-A-Round was lit green on Monday night at the Disneyland Resort to celebrate Earth Day. The unique lighting scheme came after a challenge was issued for Disney fans to vote for their Environmentality Art Challenge project starting on April 8th through Earth Day. The goal was to get 5,000 votes. This goal was surpassed by almost double! Because of this, the more than 10,000 energy-efficient LED on the Pixar Pal-A-Round was lit green on the evening of Earth Day. It created a wonderful celebration of Earth Day in Disney California Adventure in the evening.
The Environmentality Art Challenge project is showcased at Ahwanee Camp Circle in the Redwood Creek Trail. You can see photos and video of it here. The Disneyland Resort wasn’t the only place in The Walt Disney Company that celebrated Earth Day. At the Walt Disney World Resort, a new solar facility was unveiled. Disneynature also released its newest film, Penguins. You can check out DAPS MAGIC’s review of this film here. What do you think of the green-lit Pixar Pal-A-Round?
