Sunday Spotlight: Minnie's Fly Girls

Sunday Spotlight: Minnie’s Fly Girls

One of my favorite shows that came to the Disneyland Resort was Minnie’s Fly Girls. This show took place in what used to be Condor Flats at Disney California Adventure. It was on a stage across from Soarin’ Over California. The show began flights on February 17, 2012, and continued through October 20, 2013.

Minnie’s Fly Girls celebrated a time when flying was a magical experience that people looked forward to. It included music from the 40’s, 50’s, & 60’s. During the show, Minnie’s flight crew Amanda, Pat, Kate are joined by Lee the mechanic to prepare for a flight. During the preparations before Minnie’s arrival and departure. The music included classic standards and also some Disney favorites. Finally, Minnie Mouse arrives for her flight as the climax of the show. Following the show, people could meet Minnie and take pictures with her.

This show was a show that was in a word, charming. It was enjoyable to watch and although it didn’t have the longest run, it felt like a show that had been around forever. These are the types of shows that just exude Disney magic. Watch the final performance of this wonderful show and let us know your thoughts and memories of it!
