The holidays are returning to the Disneyland Resort on November 8, 2018 and will continue through the new year until January 6, 2019. This year, the Disneyland Resort is highlighting the return of the Festival of Holidays and also the fireworks spectacular, Believe… in Holiday Magic! There will be extra doses of extra holiday magic sprinkled around the Disneyland Resort for the holidays.
Disneyland
At Disneyland, the extra magic will include the return of A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Mickey and Minnie will be joined by other Disney friends, tin soldiers, and Santa Claus to celebrate the “spirit of the season.” Also in Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle will get made over again to the magical Sleeping Beauty Winter Castle. Every evening, it will come alive as snow falls on the castle and also Main Street, USA. This will also be a part of the Believe… In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular. At the other end of Main Street, the massive 60 foot Christmas tree will return. With nearly 1,800 ornaments, this is a favorite location for seasonal photos. In Fantasyland, it’s a small world will be made over into it’s a small world holiday. Thousands of colored lights will add extra magic to the facade. Inside, the holidays will be celebrated in their various traditions from around the world! In New Orleans Square, the Haunted Mansion will continue to be taken over by Jack Skellington to become Haunted Mansion Holiday. Haunted Mansion Holiday will arrive in time for the Disneyland Resort to celebrate Halloween Time when it returns on September 7, 2018.
Disney California Adventure
At Disney California Adventure the popular Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! will be returning again this year! Together along with the Festival Marketplace, holiday traditions from around the world will be celebrated with food and drinks. The citizens of Radiator Springs will again decorate Cars Land for the holidays. Two of the three attractions will get holiday layovers and become Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. Santa Claus will meet guests in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail for Santa’s Holiday Visit. On Buena Vista Street, a 50-foot Christmas tree will add Christmas spirit as guests enter Disney California Adventure.
Downtown Disney District/Disneyland Resort Hotels
The Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort Hotels will be again adorned with holiday decorations to celebrate the season. Special holiday foods, decorations, and entertainment will be on hand to help people get in the spirit!
