Agents of SHIELD Renewed by ABC for 5th Season

ABC has renewed Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fifth season. The series revolves around Agent Coulson and his team of agents who are always on a mission to save the world. According to THR, generally this show averages around 4.6 million viewers with a 1.7 in the 18-25 market. This isn’t stellar but it apparently was enough to warrant the return of Coulson and team.

Season four of the show found it moving back an hour and beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. This has been a good time slot for S.H.I.E.L.D. and has also been good for the network.  THR is also reporting that the show is looking to lower costs in the coming season.
