House of Blues To Be Demolished At Downtown Disney

houseofbluesdtdA permit was filed with the city of Anaheim to demolish the House of Blues building at Downtown Disney, according to OC Register.  The request still needs to be approved, but Disney has confirmed that they wish to tear down the building that the restaurant and concert venue was once in.  A basement level will still remain when the building is torn down.  Nothing has been announced to be put in place of House of Blues.

House of Blues has been closed since May, and is getting a new home nearby the Disneyland Resort at the Anaheim Gardenwalk.  Former movie theaters are getting refurbished to accommodate a bigger concert hall and smaller venue, as well as a bigger restaurant portion.  The original article at OC Register can be found here.
