Set to premiere on PBS SoCal this coming December 17 is that of “Richard M. Sherman: Songs of a Lifetime.” This one-hour televised special will take a look back at the past 60 years of music from the Sherman brothers as well as their legacy within the Disney community.
This show was produced by Don Hahn, who is also known for producing Disney classics such as The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. This presentation will provide audiences with a look at songs from both TV and film.
…a first-of-its kind showcase of the accomplished composer/lyricist, highlighting 60 years of popular songs, many written in collaboration with his late brother, Robert B. Sherman. It’s a one-hour studio performance with Sherman at the piano telling tales behind the music, singing songs and performing with friends: Broadway star Ashley Brown, acclaimed stage performers Juliana Hansen and Wesley Alfvin and The Barbershop Quartet (Jim Campbell, Jon Schoenherz, Drew Tablak and Wesley Alfvin ).
