The New Year is only a few months away and the Tokyo Disney Resort has announced some special plans.
Over on the Disney Parks Blog, it was noted that the New Year, the Year of the Monkey, will have a strong presence at the Disney Tokyo Resort. From January 1 to 5, park entrances to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be themed with “kadomatsu (traditional Japanese decorations).”
In addition, a New Year’s Greeting parade at Tokyo Disneyland will be shown twice a day, featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in kimono attire. At DisneySea, characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Abu and more will also wish guests a happy New Year three times a day.
Guests can look forward to special merchandise including Japanese tea cups decorated with King Louie and Abu.
