Here is some exciting news in the world of Disney Parks. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Walt Disney Company will break ground in 2016 for the brand new Star Wars themed lands.
Both Disneyland Park of the Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park of the Walt Disney World Resort will each get a Star Wars themed area added in the next few years. During the 2015 D23 Expo, it was noted that construction for the areas would begin sometime near the end of 2017.
The lands will encompass new attractions, dining and shopping experiences, all themed to fit that Star Wars atmosphere.
While speaking at a conference this Thursday, Tom Staggs did not share when the new land would officially open.
