In a recent deal with the Disney XD and BBC’s “Doctor Who” series, audience goers can look forward to some exciting programming. Rights of season 2 through 4 of “Doctor Who” have been picked up by Disney XD, according to Deadline.
With the rights to the seasons starring David Tennant, episode one from season two will air on May 9 on Disney XD. Featuring the 10th Doctor, the series will then pick up and begin to air on June 13 through June 20, a total of eight episodes.
BBC Worldwide North America EVP Matt Forde said, “Disney XD is recognized for its family-friendly programming, making the channel a great partner to introduce the David Tennant seasons of Doctor Who to a new generation of viewers.”
Also noted, those with the Watch Disney XD app can view the series starting June 14.
