It’s come down to the last two stories of the year. And, it’s a hard decision to make for me, but I think I’ve come to which gets what place. Number two for the year is the D23 Expo. It was a grand festivity this year. Almost all the days became sold out. And the show floor seemed bigger this year. There was more reason to visit exhibits more than once. A couple even had FastPass type systems. But, here’s why it got second and not first: there was not a lot of things already announced. Sure the animated feature slated after Big Hero 6 was announced and shown. There was more with Pixar’s lineup. There were a couple surprises for the live action lineup, but even that has been hinted at and rumored for a while. There was not a lot new.
But, with that said, I had a lot of fun at the panels this time with the Expo. I think they are some of the most memorable from any I’ve been to. The Imagineer day gave great spotlight to the unsung heroes of the theme park world. The live performance of Buena Vista Street voice overs is something that I know I will remember for a long time! And, it was a great treat to be at the concert of Richard Sherman and Alan Menken. It was fun even meeting fellow Disney fans. It was an experience worth going to. I’m looking forward to the next one! Check out the coverage we had down below.
Tomorrow I’ll unveil what I think tops this. And until next time, have a marvelous day!
