The Walt Disney Family Museum has announced an event with Disney Legend and former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde. This comes after the release of his book, Floating Mountains: The Art of Imagining the Impossible. The event is taking place on October 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the museum’s theater. It is $50 for members, $70 for adults, $65 for seniors and students (with ID), and $60 for youths. Children under 5 can attend for free, but registration is still required. Join Disney Legend and Former Imagineer Joe Rohde for a special presentation of his new book, Floating Mountains: The Art of Imagineering the Impossible, as he shares stories from his 40-year career with Walt Disney Imagineering, leading projects centered around natural history, culture, and the environment.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for the child at all times.

Joe Rohde
Disney Legend Joe Rohde spent 40 years with Walt Disney Imagineering, leading projects including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Aulani®, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii, Resort, and Villages Nature Paris near Disneyland Paris. Since retiring, he has consulted on projects for Virgin Galactic and the Jane Goodall Institute while continuing to collaborate with Disney. An Explorers Club member, Rohde is also an artist whose expedition paintings reflect a lifelong passion for culture, nature, and exploration.
