Have you heard of Disney Parkitecture? This is Disney’s version of the National Park Service’s “Parkitecture.” It is also the focal point of the newest episode of We Call It Imagineering. In this episode of this behind-the-scenes series from Imagineering, viewers get to see many of the things that go into making sure what is created by Disney doesn’t just look right but also feels right… to the point of evoking the correct emotions when they are experienced.
Walt Disney Imagineering President Bruce Vaughn explains, “The story isn’t just waiting for you at the end of the queue. It’s in the scale of a doorway, the curve of a street, the materials under your feet, the view we choose to reveal around the next corner — details you may never notice, but you’ll definitely feel.”

This episode of We Call It Imagineering comes on the heels of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. It builds on some of the reveals that were made in the Imagineering Pavilion and during Horizons: A Carousel of Progress. It digs into how sightlines are explored, theme parks are designed, and worlds are built! Ultimately, this brings the stories to life that guests experience when they make their trip to a Disney park or resort. Watch the newest episode of We Call It Imagineering below.
Some of the topics of this episode that are covered include:
