Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris is a bit different than what fans are used to at Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort. This version has a very different order for its storyline than those found in the United States.
The attraction has an incredible queue before guests board their boats and sail into the cove, and head up a lift that takes them back in time into the world of fighting pirates and soldiers. As they head into a flooded fortress jail, they find some imprisoned pirates who are attempting to coax the guard dog into giving them the keys.
Soon, the boats are flying down a floom and into the middle of a battle. They then head into a town that looks very similar to the original Disneyland version of the attraction. After passing through the burning town, the boats plunge down a second waterfall and into a town’s arsenal just as it explodes. As the boats emerge from the darkness, they emerge in Dead Man’s Cove during the present time. There are caverns where guests discover what happens to the pirates eventually. Ultimately, guests find the end of the attraction with the talking skull instructing them how to exit their boats.
