EPCOT’s Coral Reef Restaurant is a unique dining experience at Walt Disney World Resort. Where other restaurants provide views of a theme park or make their guests feel like they are dining in space, this establishment goes under the sea. As guests dine at Coral Reef Restaurant, they get a view of a massive aquarium with over 2,000 sea creatures and a living reef that is a part of The Seas with Nemo & Friends!

In recent months, the restaurant has been increasingly limiting its hours and has changed to only dinner service. Currently, it is open daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Guests who visit the restaurant’s page on the Walt Disney World website are now seeing that it will be closing temporarily starting on September 8, 2026. This notice is found on the page:
Coral Reef Restaurant will be temporarily closed beginning September 8, 2026, and is expected to reopen later in 2026.
The restaurant currently offers “Florida Coastal Cuisine.” In general, there is a lot of seafood on the menu that is prepared with a Floridian culinary perspective. Below is the official description of this restaurant:

The Seas is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet and holds enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools. The meticulously crafted habitat has been designed by marine scientists to enrich the lives of approximately 2,000 sea creatures—more than 60 aquatic species!—that call The Seas home.
As you dine, be sure to look for sharks, sea turtles and rays as they swim in this wondrous coral reef.
And did you know? Coral reefs are crucial to the biodiversity of the world’s oceans. They cover less than 1% of the ocean floor but provide food and shelter to over 25% of all ocean creatures—up to 2 million species. Disney scientists and conservationists are working hard in Florida and around the world to preserve endangered species like sharks, sea turtles and coral.
