D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is full of fun programming from across The Walt Disney Company for kids to enjoy during this magical weekend in August. Another highlight for many Disney fans is the shopping opportunities. Today, D23 announced that Mickey’s of Glendale will be one of the shopping destinations available at this ultimate Disney fan event. Mickey’s of Glendale is the official store of Walt Disney Imagineering. With the return of this popular shop, it was also revealed that a new Walt Disney Imagineering Collection will be debuting as well.
The Disney Parks Blog gave a sneak peek at what is included in this collection. This gives fans a chance to being to plan what they want to shop for and prioritize as the put together their schedule for the D23 weekend. The Walt Disney Imagineering Color Block Collection
The Walt Disney Imagineering Color Block Collection is the first of several collections that will be revealed leading up to D23. It features an assortment of clothing, pins, and accessories inspired by the creativity of Imagineers using current trends and iconic brand colors.
This collection is described as being for fans who appreciate even the smallest thing throughout Disney’s parks, products, and experiences. “I look to design for people who notice every detail,” shared Product Designer Brenner. “Quality and fit are extremely important as I work through the development process, always thinking about what Imagineers would like best.”
Knowing how important shopping is to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event for fans looking for amazing souvenirs, Product Designer Isabella added, “While designing, it’s important to focus on creating unique pieces. It’s exciting to offer our guests a piece of the WDI magic they can take home with them. My favorite product is the Mini Canvas Tote Bag with the embroidered WDI logo. It’s a great everyday bag!”
Among the variety of items that will be on sale, the popular Sorcerer Mickey Tote will be making its return for fans to add to their collection.
