May the 4th, or Star Wars Day, is always a fun day to celebrate for fans of a galaxy far, far away. Along with watching movies, visiting theme parks, and dressing in Star Wars-inspired outfits, it is also a great day to shop. Every year, new merchandise is revealed as a part of this celebration. Every year, it also seems that this merchandise continues to get more popular.
For guests wanting to purchase Star Wars merchandise on Star Wars Day, Walt Disney World has released information to know beforehand. Here are a few things to know before May the 4th:
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs will both utilize a virtual queue for May the 4th merchandise events.
- Guests will need to use the My Disney Experience app to take part in this experience.
- For Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests must also have a valid park admission and, if applicable, a theme park reservation for the day to join the virtual queue.
- You can request to join the Disney’s Hollywood Studios virtual queue beginning at 7 a.m. ET on May 4, 2026, and the
- Disney Springs virtual queue beginning at 9 a.m. on May 4, 2026
- Plan ahead by visiting DisneyWorld.com and checking the My Disney Experience App for the latest details and virtual queue availability.
For those who are at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios event, merchandise mobile checkout will be available in the My Disney Experience app while shopping. To utilize it, guests will simply scan merchandise items while shopping and then pay with their phone for a quick check-out of the merchandise.
