On Friday, February 6, 2026, Disney California Adventure began celebrating its 25th anniversary ahead of the actual milestone on February 8th. It also was a day when guests saw incoming Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro with outgoing Disney CEO Bob Iger in the parks. The duo made their way to The Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate Josh D’Amaro’s appointment as the successor to Bob Iger.
Iger took to Instagram after the visit and shared the following:
A morning at @disneyland with @joshdamaro, the new CEO of The Walt Disney Company. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Josh’s appointment!
Throughout the day, the duo could be seen chatting with cast members and posing for pictures with guests. While also being a celebratory moment for the two leaders, this also shows a united front during the transition from one CEO to the next.
Josh D’Amaro will be taking on the role of CEO of The Walt Disney Company on March 18, 2026. This is the same day as the Annual Shareholder Meeting this year. He will be joined by incoming President and Chief Creative Officer Dana Walden in leading the company on this date.
