On February 8, 2026, Disney California Adventure will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Leading up to this milestone day, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will debut new outfits, the original Soarin’ Over California will return, and there will be merchandise, food, and a day-of commemorative map. Daps Magic is celebrating the anniversary by sharing some favorite memories from Disney California Adventure (previously Disney’s California Adventure) through the last 25 years.
Yesterday, Daps Magic took a look back at California Screamin’, the original version of what is now known as the Incredicoaster. Today, we take a look at a limited offering that came during the summer of 2010. Glow Fest was a colorful celebration (mainly at night) that was held at Disney California Adventure. Hollywood Backlot was filled with neon lights, electronic music, and dancers. It was very different than a lot of the other things that had been offered in the park before. It was also quite popular. During the day, it looked a bit different. At night, it came to life! It offered another nighttime activity for those who weren’t watching World of Color during its opening summer. Below is a video of Glow Fest that the Daps Magic team took in June 2010.
