A Wreck-It Ralph attraction that is replacing Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters at Tokyo Disneyland now has a timeline for opening. In a fiscal report from the Oriental Land Company, it was revealed that this new version of the attraction will open in the spring of 2027. When the new attraction was announced in 2024, it was said that it would open in 2026 or 2027. This lines up with work that is scheduled to be completed with the rest of Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland, which is also getting a new look. This includes Space Mountain, which was demolished and is now in the process of being rebuilt.
The new Wreck-It Ralph attraction will be the first for this franchise in any Disney theme park. Guests will get to experience Sugar Rush. This is the candy-themed game from Wreck-It Ralph. Unfortunately, the game is being attacked by King Candy and his Sugar Bugs. Guests will team up with Ralph and Vanellope to transform the Sugar Bucks back to treats that include cookies and cakes.
The concept art for the ride shows that it will remain as an omnimover system. Guests will get to use blasters in this dark ride as they assist Ralph and Vanellope. At this point, a name for this attraction has not been revealed.

The former Buzz Lightyear store, Planet M, is also being rethemed to fit into the story of Wreck-It-Ralph. Renderings of the attraction show that it will see its exterior being re-themed to fit in with the rest of the new Tomorrowland.
Wreck-It Ralph was originally released by Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2012. It focuses on the title character, who lives as a villain in the video game Fix-It Felix. After having an identity crisis, Ralph decides to be a hero in a different game. In the process, he inadvertently releases Cy-Bugs that threaten to destroy all video games. Ralph finds himself teaming up with Vanellope, a glitchy racer, to save their worlds and also find out who he really is.

Along with this new Wreck-It Ralph attraction and shop, Tokyo Disneyland will be opening its new Space Mountain in 2027. This will be accompanied by a new plaza in Tomorrowland. This new area will represent a future where humans are in harmony with nature.
