Zootopia 2 will soon be in theaters, and Shanghai Disney Resort loves this franchise. Ahead of the arrival of this film, Shanghai Disney Resort has announced that some offerings related to the film will be arriving at Shanghai Disneyland. This includes some updates to current experiences, meet and greets, merchandise, a new Judy Hopps-inspired floral display at the entrance, and even a new projection show on the Enchanted Storybook Castle!

“Since opening in December 2023, Zootopia has welcomed millions of guests from home and abroad, becoming one of the resort’s most beloved experiences and earning global theme park industry recognition. In celebration of Zootopia 2, our talented cast members and Imagineers have teamed up with Walt Disney Animation Studios artists to extend the new story into creative, tangible, and immersive experiences in our Zootopia-themed land,” said Andrew Bolstein, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde

There will be multiple chances to see Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde at Shanghai Disneyland. Here are the different ways:

• Starting November 18, during the daily Mickey’s Storybook Express parade, guests can see Judy and Nick in their brand-new Zootopia 2 outfits. These appearances will be available for a limited time, through January 27, 2026.
• Shanghai Disney Resort will present Judy and Nick in their Zootennial Gala fashions, a heart-warming surprise from the sequel, as the first and only offering in any Disney parks. For a limited-time, Judy and Nick in their new and stunning looks will grace the Main Entrance Portal to greet guests during the Zootopia 2 celebration campaign, starting November 19, 2025, through January 27, 2026.

Gary De’Snake

Gary De’Snake will also be slithering his way into Shanghai Disneyland. Check out how here:

• Gary will leave many more hints throughout the land about him and his role in the plot—whether through the reptile-inspired texture on the updated Zootopia Marquee or his mysterious shadows in Nocturnal Alley.
• Gary De’Snake will also join the much-loved Disney Zootopia Comes Alive, a daily highlight featuring lively performances from many of the city’s favorite residents, including Flash, Duke Weaselton and Judy Hopps’ family. Beginning November 18, the talkative viper will join the Zootopia community and appear in the popular live entertainment. He will debut in several refreshed stories where characters interact with guests and each other throughout the day, and even join the animal choir of “Zootopia, We Love You.”

Gazelle’s All-new Original Song Zoo to Debut at Shanghai Disneyland

Gazelle’s new song, which will appear in Zootopia 2, called Zoo, will make its theme park debut at Shanghai. It will be heard in a couple of different places:

• Guests at Shanghai Disney Resort will be the first to experience this powerful new track in a Disney theme park in person, with a limited-time performance by Gazelle herself in the Hot Pursuit attraction. Following the adventure on Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, guests are invited to celebrate their successful rescue of the city’s biggest pop star, Gazelle, by enjoying her all-new song “Zoo.” This vibrant anthem will be featured for a limited time from November 19, 2025, through January 27, 2026. With the pursuit of excellence and attention to detail from Disney Imagineers, the celebratory finale scene will be refreshed with upgraded lighting, music, and synchronized effects, creating a truly amazing immersive experience.
• As evening falls, the Enchanted Storybook Castle comes alive with a special Zootopia-themed projection show before the iconic show ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration, again during the limited-time celebration period from November 18, 2025, to January 27, 2026. Vivid scenes from both films, set to Gazelle’s infectious beats from Try Everything and the new song Zoo, will add an extra layer of wild fun to the nighttime entertainment.

Merchandise and Foods

There will be quite a few new products arriving at Shanghai Disneyland that come from the story of Zootopia 2. This includes Zootopia-themed treats, themed apparel, and a whole lot more. Some specifics that were shared by Disney include the diverse fish-inspired foods from Marsh Market, or Gary De’Snake-themed cotton candy. Fashions by Fru Fru on Mane Street is also now offering new Zootopia 2-inspired apparel and accessories. Guests can find Nick’s tropical shirt or a crossbody bag spotlighting Gary.
