Happy Halloween! Daps Magic wishes every one of you a fantastic spooky holiday full of delicious treats, amazing costumes, and happy memories! Halloween can be a time of parties, trick or treating, dressing up and staying in, or just a time for people watching. Accompanying all of these things are often Halloween movies. Disney+ has a multitude of Halloween programming on it now. Below are five favorites that are currently available on Disney+. They are in no particular order, but are all a lot of fun!
Hocus Pocus
How could you pass up the Sanderson Sisters as they make their return to Salem? Hocus Pocus is a Halloween classic that will put a spell on you as you watch it on Halloween night! It has a great cast, great story, and is a movie that is worth rewatching year after year. Seeing that the film takes place on Halloween night, even better!

The Nightmare Before Christmas
“This is Halloween!” One of the can’t-miss Halloween movies is perfect as we pivot from Halloween to the holidays. Jack Skellington attempts to take over Christmas in The Nightmare Before Christmas. This film is full of fun, great songs, and has an incredible Halloween look! It can also be a great inspiration for costumes and decorations!

Haunted Mansion
Few things connect with the Halloween season more than a haunted mansion. Disney has made two movies that were inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction from its theme parks. The 2023 Haunted Mansion is a fun take on this attraction that also, surprisingly enough, addresses loss. While this wasn’t loved by everyone, it is a good movie that Daps Magic enjoyed. There is also a fantastic cast! It is also a very fitting film for watching on Halloween night! What’s your favorite Easter Egg in it?
Haunted Mansion Official Description
Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.
Directed by Justin Simien, the film features an all-star cast ensemble cast including LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon and Dan Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost.
The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.
Muppets Haunted Mansion
An instant classic that is also inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction in Disney Parks, Muppets Haunted Mansion is a can’t-miss Halloween film. Gonzo and Pepe heading into the Haunted Mansion on Halloween night is brilliant. It is one of the better releases by The Muppets in recent years. This one is fun for the whole family and a favorite at Daps Magic!

Blackbeard’s Ghost
While this movie isn’t specifically related to Halloween, it is a great (depending on the definition) ghost story! Blackbeard’s Ghost is a classic live-action Disney film about a new college track coach who inadvertently brings back the ghost of Captain Blackbeard, the notorious pirate. Of course, this takes place in the inn where Blackbeard once lived and is now inhabited by descendants of the pirate and his crew. It has some familiar faces in it from that era of Disney films and is a fun, feel-good flick.
