The Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions in Adventureland at Tokyo Disneyland is a wonderful iteration of The World Famous Jungle Cruise. There are some differences, however. The biggest difference that is most apparent is that the attraction has a skipper speaking Japanese. This is no surprise as the park is in Japan. It is also no problem as the skippers are so animated and entertaining that not knowing the language doesn’t matter. The other major difference is that the boats travel clockwise, rather than counterclockwise, unlike the attraction at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom in the United States.
There are a few other differences. A soundtrack accompanies the attraction. It is perhaps most notable when passing through the African veldt. At this point, Circle of Life from The Lion King can be heard. There is also a shrine that the boat travels through with some pretty impressive effects and music. This is very different and magical, which is perhaps an understatement. The boathouse also doubles as the train station for the Western River Railroad. This is found on a track above. The train gives a great view of Jungle Cruise boats coming and going as it arrives and departs. There are still other similarities and differences found in the attraction. Rather than list them, take a look at the attraction itself! Below is a recent look at the Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions.
