On this day in 2000, construction on the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure was completed at the Disneyland Resort. Holding over 10,250 cars, it was the largest parking structure in the United States when it opened. Mickey and Friends has six levels and is longer than the Chrysler Building in New York City is tall. The structure became the main parking lot for the Disneyland Resort after the original surface lot closed to make way for Disney California Adventure. [25 years ago in 2025]
