On this day in 1985, ‘Dumbo’s Circus’ premiered on the Disney Channel. The show was filmed in live action with human-sized puppets. It was loosely based on the ‘Dumbo’ animated feature from 1941, but with all-new friends for Dumbo. In the show, the famous elephant has grown up and can speak. Dumbo has his own traveling circus that he flies from place to place. At the time, the show was the longest-running Disney Channel original series with 115 episodes. [40 years ago in 2025]
