At Disneyland, the focus of this opening moment connects with the opening of Disneyland in 1955 when Walt Disney said, “To all who come to this happy place, welcome!” At Disney California Adventure, the connection with Walt Disney goes back to when he first came to California in 1923. Both tie these origin stories into the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.
