The Force is strong with Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The movie returned to theaters again this weekend, 20 years after it first debuted. Its arrival also was after Star Wars Celebration Japan last week, where Hayden Christensen announced that he will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in the second season of Ahsoka.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is currently having the strongest re-release in theaters for any of the Star Wars films since Disney purchased Lucasfilm. The film is on track to earn $21-23 million over the course of the weekend. It will also surpass the 1997 re-release opening of Return of the Jedi ($16.2 million) and could potentially surpass Empire Strikes Back ($21.9 million).
The re-release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith comes a year ahead of the arrival of The Mandalorian & Grogu. On Disney+, the first three episodes of the second season of Andor dropped this week as well. On top of that, Ahsoka season 2 began filming this week. There are lots of things to be excited about for Star Wars fans, which undoubtedly helped this re-release.
