On this day in 2005, a sneak preview of Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams took place at Disneyland, its first-ever introduction to guests. Parade of Dreams was part of the Happiest Homecoming on Earth, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. It had seven units showcasing the dreams of Disney characters. In order, these were Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, and Mickey & Minnie. [20 years ago in 2025]
