Disney Cruise Line Shares First Look at Stern Sculpture for Disney Adventure

The Disney Adventure is one of two new ships that will be joining the Disney Cruise Line later this year. The ship will be based in Singapore when it goes on it sets sails on December 15, 2025. Today, the Disney Cruise Line revealed what the stern sculpture will look like on this magnificent new ship. A piece of concept art that was shared by Disney shows Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie on the stern of the ship with paintbrushes. This is the first time that Mickey and Minnie have appeared on the stern of a Disney Cruise Line ship.

The Disney Adventure is the first ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet to be based in Asia. It will be based in Singapore at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre where it will offer three- and four-night itineraries.

The ship was originally named the Global Dream and was purchased by Disney in 2022. The previous owner of the ship had filed for bankruptcy before the Global Dream could be completed. Because of this, Disney was able to get a better deal on the uncompleted ship. Disney worked with the Meyer Werft shipbuilding company to complete the cruise ship in Wismar, Germany.

“Our cruise ships give us the unique opportunity to bring Disney magic to fans no matter where they are, and the addition of this ship will make a Disney Cruise Line vacation accessible to more families than ever before,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman, Disney Experiences, at the time.

When guests board the Disney Adventure later this year, they will get to experience the longest roller coaster at sea. There will also be some incredible entertainment with Duffy and Friends, Marvel superheroes, fantastic rooms, and more!

In June of 2024, the areas that guests will be able to visit were revealed for this ship. They include areas inspired by the stories of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. Star Wars was not included as an area for this ship. In total, there are seven areas aboard this massive ship. They include Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Toy Story Place. This will see a wide range of Disney stories coming to life, including Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Moana, multiple Disney Princess stories, and more!

The Disney Adventure will be offering 3- or 4-night cruises from Singapore. Bookings are available now through the Disney Cruise Line website or Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic.
