This is not a joke. For the first time in several years, both water parks at Walt Disney World Resort will be open at the same time. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open starting on May 21st. The announcement comes on the 30th anniversary of Blizzard Beach.
Along with having both water parks open at Walt Disney World Resort, May 21st will also mark the first time since 2019 that all six parks at Walt Disney World will be open concurrently. Disney says that from May 21st through September 7th.

Ahead of the opening of both of these water parks, Blizzard Beach will be closing from May 1st through May 20th for a quick refurbishment ahead of a summer of fun.
The opening of both water parks comes as Walt Disney World gears up for a summer of fun. This includes the opening of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, Disney Villains – Unfairly Ever After, discounts on tickets, the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade, and a whole lot more!
This year also has a fun promotion running for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts. On the day guests check into their Resort, they can enjoy free water park admission. With the opening of both water parks on May 21st, they will get to choose which of the two water parks they would like to visit: Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon!
For those who want extra water park fun, H20 Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon is returning. This is being offered on select nights from May 23 through September 13. On these nights, Typhoon Lagoon will turn into an illuminated dance party that has lots of splashy fun, complimentary fun, and also some favorite Toy Story pals. There are also generally much shorter wait times compared to daylight hours.
There are some good deals for families wanting to experience H20 Glow. Kids’ tickets are only $42.50, which is half the price of the $85 adult priced ticket this year. There are also ways to save for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.
