On Friday, March 28, 2025, Season of the Force began at Disneyland Resort. This celebration of all that is Star Wars includes new entertainment, merchandise, food, the arrival of Luke Skywalker on Batuu, and soon guests will be able to buy their own Mouse Droid! One of the most exciting new offerings is a nighttime projection show that lights up the area around the Millennium Falcon at Black Spire Outpost. Called, Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, this show takes cues from the history of oral storytelling to tell the story of the Skywalker family. This begins with a young Anakin Skywalker who is strong with the Force, continues with his fall to the Dark Side of the Force, and eventually his redemption, thanks to the help of his son.
Ahead of the first showing of Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, Daps Magic had the opportunity to talk to some of the creatives who helped bring this to life during a media preview for Season of the Force. Michael Serna, Executive Creative Director, Disney Live Entertainment, and Matt Martin, Sr. Creative Executive, Lucasfilm Ltd., shared about the process of collaboration for Shadows of Memory, the curation of the music for the show, and in a fun moment, they also shared who their favorite Star Wars character is. Check out this fun and informative interview below.
