Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo are moving right along and will soon be gone to make way for a new experience that allows guests to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. The arrival of the Monsters, Inc. in Disney’s Hollywood Studios was initially announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last summer. It was later confirmed that this would lead to the departure of Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo. What also was announced at that time was that The Muppets would be finding a new home where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith currently is found.
Today, the Disney Parks Blog announced that the final day for guests to experience Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will be on June 7, 2025. This will be following the beginning of a phased closure for the Grand Avenue area in May. This will mean that Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will be closing on May 10, 2025. This will make way for a whole new set of experiences based on the world of Monsters, Inc. It will include a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene, dining, shopping, and a whole new theater show. 
At this point, the final day for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. When it does close, it will become the first-ever ride to feature The Muppets. Disney shared that “there’s sure to be laughter, screams and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard!”
Disney also reiterated that there are “creative conversations” being had about how best to preserve the Muppet*Vision 3D and other parts of the experience. The exact phrasing is as follows:
As we move forward with these changes, we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future.
