The Red Car Trolley will soon be making its final trip through Disney California Adventure. This summer, the Disneyland Resort confirmed that the attraction would be ceasing operations. Disneyland officials confirmed the news this summer saying, “We will discontinue operation of the attraction in early 2025 and will share a specific date later this winter.” Now that date has been revealed.
The final day of operations for the Red Car Trolley will be on February 8, 2025. This will come ahead of construction in Avengers Campus next year. The Disney Parks Blog confirmed the date and said that it was to “make way for new experiences.” Although the Red Car Trolley will be ceasing operations permanently, Disneyland Resort officials shared that one trolley will be parked on Buena Vista Street for guests to take photos with and enjoy after the sunset of its operations.
Avengers Campus
The discontinuation of this attraction at Disney California Adventure comes ahead of the expansion of Avengers Campus, where the trolley’s track currently ends. At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, two new attractions were announced for the land. This will lead to quite a bit of construction as Avengers Campus expands. This is also what is leading to the end of the trolley rides.
The two new attractions are Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. The first will have guests helping the Avengers fight King Thanos. The latter will pair guests with Avengers to test out new super hero equipment. The addition of these two attractions will lead to construction backstage that will impact the attraction and area.
