On this day in 1999, ‘Toy Story 2’ opened in theaters. The sequel to the 1995 original introduced Jessie, Bullseye, the Prospector, and Evil Emperor Zurg to the franchise. It marked the first sequel to be made by Pixar Animation Studios. It also dealt with some rather weighty issues of obsolescence and the loss of innocence. [25 years ago in 2024]
