On this day in 2004, Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles’ had its wide release in theaters. It was Pixar’s sixth film and the last to be released before Disney purchased Pixar in 2006. The film takes inspiration from 1960s comics and spy films. It follows the Parr family of superheroes who try and fail to live under the radar. Pixar newcomer Brad Bird both wrote and directed ‘The Incredibles.’ Bird was also the inspiration for Syndrome and his voice was used for Edna Mode. [20 years ago in 2024]
