On this day in 2008, Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams ran for the last time at Disneyland. It opened in May 2005 as part of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration. Parade of Dreams had eight primary floats that centered around the dreams of characters from Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, and The Lion King. Sadly, the parade did not return in 2009 as expected.
