Newport Beach Film Festival to Honor Frank Marshall and Laurent Bouzereau

The Newport Beach Film Festival will be honoring Producer Frank Marshall with the Arts Champion Award and Director Laurent Bouzereau as an Artist of Distinction for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking. This will be taking place on the closing night of the NBFF. The honor comes ahead of the arrival of Music By John Williams. This new documentary about the life and work of John Williams will be arriving on Disney+ on November 1, 2024.

PRODUCER FRANK MARSHALL AND DIRECTOR LAURENT BOUZEREAU TO BE HONORED ON CLOSING NIGHT OF NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL WITH CENTREPIECE DOCUMENTARY, “MUSIC BY JOHN WILLIAMS”

NEWPORT BEACH, CA – October 2, 2024 – The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) is excited to announce the addition of the upcoming Centrepiece documentary, “Music by John Williams” to round out the closing night lineup on October 24, 2024 at the Regal Edwards Big Newport, where the festival will be honoring Producer Frank Marshall with the Arts Champion Award and Director Laurent Bouzereau will be honored as an Artist of Distinction for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking. 

The Arts Champion Award recognizes outstanding organizations, corporations, institutions or individuals, that promote, defend, produce, educate, and encourage creativity and the arts. Artists of Distinction – Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking Awards are presented to individuals known for their contribution to the arts, philanthropic endeavors, and an overriding commitment to their craft to tell unique and bold stories.

From Lucasfilm, Amblin Documentaries, and Imagine Documentaries, “Music by John Williams” follows the inspiring story of Williams, offering a new perspective on one of cinema’s most influential and celebrated composers. In addition to NBFF, “Music by John Williams” is set to open the 38th edition of AFI Festival on October 23 and will have a limited theatrical release and begin streaming on Disney+ November 1.
