Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort continues to evolve. New eateries and shops will open soon, and will change the dynamic and vibe of Downtown Disney.
Now, a colorful new experience has arrived at the Downtown Disney District. The brand-new Kawaii Slime Company Cart has made its way to Downtown Disney where you can create your own custom slime with fun add-ons.
The Kawaii Slime Company started in 2017 when a stressed out Mom found a fascinating tread on Instagram called #oddlyfascinating. Her oldest child begged Mom to make this mysteriously gooey substance but the stressed out Mom firmly said “NO, it’s too messy.” Dad then got involved and bought glue behind Mom’s back. However, after a few messy trial runs, some disagreements, and YouTube tutorials, the family’s love for slime was born.
Kawaii Slime Company was turned into a full-time endeavor in 2019, and the family have loved every moment. They believe the world of Slime is so fulfilling in numerous ways. Not only is it a stress reliever but an awesome way for the younger generation to be exposed to the wholesome world of crafting arts.
Where did the name come from? Well, “kawaii” means “cute” in Japanese, and with Mom’s heritage of Korean, Japanese, Irish, English, & French and her love for the Kawaii culture, she knew that Slime + Kawaii would make a perfect pairing.
The company mission for Kawaii Slime Company is to help every child who has an interest in Slime to try and open their own Slime shop. Kawaii Slime Company feels humbled and excited to engage with these Slimers and give advice or donate product as ways to give back and continue to help kids become Slime entrepreneurs.
You can find Kawaii Slime Company in retailers across the country. Of course, now you don’t have to go too far to find them in the Downtown Disney District.
