Welcome to Wrexham, the docuseries about a Welsh soccer team that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased, continues to show strength both on the field and also in the awards circuit. Over the weekend, the series garnered 4 Emmy Awards.
The new honors came during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Welcome to Wrexham earned awards for the following categories:
- Directing for a Variety Special
- Unstructured Reality Program
- Picture Editing
- Sound Mixing
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are now the co-chairman of the club that they took over in 2020. These awards follow five awards that the series won earlier this year at the Primetime Emmy Awards. This included Best Unstructured Reality Program, Best Directing, Cinematography, Picture Editing, and Sound Mixing.
Welcome to Wrexham debuted in 2022. The third season of the series arrived earlier this summer. A fourth season has been confirmed and will be coming to Disney+ and Hulu.
