On this day in 1919, dancer, choreographer, actress, and Disney Legend Marge Champion was born. She was the live-action reference for the animation of Snow White in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,’ the Blue Fairy in ‘Pinocchio,’ Hyacinth Hippo in ‘Fantasia’s’ “Dance of the Hours” segment, and Mr. Stork in ‘Dumbo.’ She and her husband Gower Champion worked together as a dance team in many of the popular MGM musicals of the 1940s and 1950s.
