Walkway Between Haunted Mansion and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Reopens Revealing New Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree Sign at Disneyland

The walkway between Haunted Mansion and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has reopened at Disneyland. The walkway briefly closed this summer. With its reopening, new paving can be seen between the Haunted Mansion and the Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree. The new paving is a grey color near the Haunted Mansion in the New Orleans Square portion of the walkway. This changes to a sand/dirt color for Bayou Country. The reopening of the walkway also revealed new signage for the Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree. Recently, the new menu for this restaurant was revealed. However, a specific opening date has not yet been shared. On top of that, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes also reopened with the reopening of this walkway. The restrooms on the lower level of Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree have also been reopened.

A Direct Approach

The reopening of this walkway will undoubtedly be a relief to guests who are making a beeline in the morning to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Despite signs sending guests through Frontierland, frequently guests could be seen rushing toward the dead end that had been near Haunted Mansion. There, they would be turned around by cast members and sent around the Rivers of America and into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge through its middle entrance in the back of Frontierland.

A Look at the Path

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Disneyland on the morning of August 19, 2024, to check out the reopened walkway. Below are photos and video of this reopened area of the park. This also gives a brief look at the progress of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in the newly renamed Bayou Country. It was announced last week at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that this attraction will be opening on November 15, 2024. Check out the video tour and photos of this area here:
