On this day in 1954, director, screenwriter, and Disney Legend 2024 inductee James Cameron was born. Cameron is known by Disney fans for directing the ‘Avatar’ franchise. From these came Pandora–The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and an upcoming ‘Avatar’ land in Disney California Adventure. Cameron is also well known for directing the Oscar-winning ‘Titanic,’ ‘The Terminator’ franchise, ‘Aliens,’ and ‘True Lies,’ among others. [70 years ago in 2024]
