Blake Lewis Joins Phat Cat Swinger For Four Incredible Performances on Dapper Day at Disney California Adventure

On Sunday, April 7, 2025, Phat Cat Swinger hosted a special guest vocalist for its performances throughout the day at Disney California Adventure. The day, which also happened to be Dapper Day, was full of incredible performances by the band and Blake Lewis. Together, they performed at 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM, and finally 6:30 PM. These sets were full of fantastic music and a whole lot of fun. The energy of the band and those in attendance was electric… or perhaps radioactive? Yes, that song was performed as well. Phat Cat Swinger was founded in 2002 by band leader Marco Palos, baritone saxophone player Will Pattinson, and former drummer Matthew Burdick. This little big band is influenced by the classic sounds of some of the big band greats like Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, and Bobby Darin mixed with the newer swing sounds of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue, and Brian Setzer. The band has toured around the world and has played a several festivals through the years at Disneyland. Blake Lewis is a musician, singer and actor who was the runner up for the sixth season of American Idol. He distinguished himself as both a singer and beat boxer during that season. He also plays piano, guitar, and drums. His firs album, Audio Day Dream, reached the top ten in Billboards Top 100. His second album, Heartbreak on Vinyl, earned Lewis two #1 Billboard Dance singles. He has continued to find success while producing four of his own albums, which have been quite successful. He also has collaborated with Postmodern Jukebox.
