D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will be taking place from August 9-11, 2024. This year promises to be bigger and better than any D23 Expo that preceded this ultimate fan event. It will include a day at the Disneyland Resort, a D23 day at an Angels game, and so much more! With all that is going on, it can get overwhelming. Today a special event was held to brief members of the media about the details for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The preview offered a look at programming, logistics, ticketing, and D23 Member benefits, which will be shared below. Along with all of the information that was shared today, key art for the event which features Sorcerer Mickey was also revealed. The artwork hearkens back to the original D23 Expo in 2009.
“This August at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we’re excited to give tens of thousands of our biggest fans an experience like no other,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief BrandOfficer, The Walt Disney Company. “Disney has the most powerful brands and passionate fans in the world, and we’re taking D23 to a whole new level this year to give them more of what they love from across the worlds of Disney in one incredible weekend.”

Ticketing
There are several different options for admission to D23: The Ultimate Fan Event.
- D23 Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket includes a 3-day assigned seat for evening shows at the Honda Center and 3-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $297/ticket.
- D23 Ultimate Fan Pass 1-Day Ticket includes a reserved seat for that date’s evening show at the Honda Center and same-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $99/ticket.
- D23 Preferred Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket, exclusive to D23 Gold Members, includes a 3-day floor seat for evening shows at the Honda Center (same seat each night), and 3-day access to all experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center—starting at $999/ticket.
- D23 Fan Pass provides access to the Anaheim Convention Center only:
- 1-Day Pass
- Gold Members: $79/ticket
- General Members: $89/ticket
- 3-Day Pass
- Gold Members: $209/ticket
- General Members: $259/ticket

D23 Gold Members will have early access to 1-day and 3-day tickets in a limited quantity and number starting on March 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM PT. For those that are D23 Gold and General Members, and who also pay with their Visa card, there will be a pre-sale to a limited number of 1-day and 3-day tickets for a limited time starting on March 27, 2024 at 12:00 PM PT. Tickets for all D23 Gold and general members will be going on sale starting on March 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM PT, while supplies last. Attendees are required to be a D23 Member to purchase tickets. Fans can join either as a complimentary General Member or upgrade to the Gold Membership at JoinD23.com.
D23 Gold Member Benefits
There are several benefits available to D23 Gold Members beyond the pre-sale window and also discounted tickets. D23 Gold Members also gain access to additional benefits that include discounts and offers from various groups that can be found on the show floor and also throughout the Downtown Disney District. For those that are D23 Charter Members who joined D23 in 2009, there will be a private lounge off of the show floor. There will also be a commemorative collectible pin for D23 Gold Members who attend the event. This is the first time that D23 has done this.
D23 Programming
There are quite a few different opportunities that will be offered to D23 members throughout the event. This includes opportunities outside of the main event from August 9-11. Below is a look at the main programming offerings that will be offered surrounding D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Honda Center
For the first time at a D23 event like this, the Honda Center is being utilized for even more fans to get to experience the offerings throughout the week. The new venue will be the home to three nights of incredible showcases starting with Friday’s Disney Entertainment Showcase. This will give a look at the movies, series, and stage shows that fans love and give a glimpse at what is coming next. On Saturday night, Disney Experiences will give a glimpse at what is coming to the world of Disney Parks, experiences, and beyond. On Sunday night, the 2024 class of Disney Legends will be introduced in a very special event hosted by Ryan Seacrest. This year, the Walt Disney Archives will be honoring Colleen Atwood, Angela Bassett, Martha Blanding, James L. Brooks, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Miley Cyrus, Steve Ditko, Harrison Ford, Mark Henn, Frank Oz, Kelly Ripa, Joe Rohde, and John Williams.
D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort
D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort is the great way to get into the spirit ahead of the start of D23: The Ultimate Fan Event. This will be the first time this has been offered and it will be on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Disneyland Resort will be welcoming D23 fans from rope drop to late night with multiple unique offerings for this special day. This includes a custome cavalcade and an energetic dance party at Disneyland along with special photo opportunities, specialty foods, themed merchandise, and a whole lot more at both parks. Disney Junior will also be joining in on the festivities and host a music-filled celebration at Disney California Adventure. Show Floor
The show floor will be bigger than ever for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This will be found once again at the Anaheim Convention Center and it will showcase the best of Disney storytelling and innovation. This will be an expanded show floor with incredible experience for fans of all ages. There will be the return of some favorite pavilions like the Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney+, Marvel Studios, Disney Experiences, and Lucasfilm, along with a brand new exhibition from the Walt Disney Archives called A Great Big Beautiful Car Show. A preview of this car show from the Walt Disney Archives was shown at a media preview for this event.
There will also be some incredible shopping opportunities, including a dedicated space to shop and experience limited-edition merchandise and collectibles. There will also be other favorite shopping destinations found at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event including Mickey’s of Glendale, The Hollywood Studios Store, and The Emporium. The Walt Disney Company Store will also be making its debut and feature some exclusive D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event branded products. Along with all of that, there will also be the opportunity to attend specially curated shows, panels, and presentations along with storytellers, creators, and talent. These presentations will feature Disney content that is sure to entertain fans of all generations on five different stages found throughout the Anaheim Convention Center.
D23 Day at Angel Stadium
Another new offering this year for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is the first D23 Day at Angel Stadium. This will be taking place on Sunday, August 4, and will be full of D23 fun. The first 23,000 fans that enter Angel Stadium will receive a commemorative and one-of-a-kind D23 Mickey Mouse bobblehead.
The Ultimate Disney Sweepstakes: Fantastic Prizes
There will also be the opportunity for fans to enter an an impressive sweepstakes. This promises to be one of the most expansive in Disney history. D23: The Ultimate Disney Sweepstakes will give fans the chance to win some incredible prizes and experiences that only Disney could offer and deliver. One of the most exciting prizes is a 7-night cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure.
D23 Gold Member Benefits
Along with the pre-sale window and discounted tickets for D23 Gold Members. There are also some other benefits that can be enjoyed including discounts along with offers from other groups found on the show floor and also at Downtown Disney District. Transportation
A big question many Disney fans have been asking has been variations on how transportation will work between the Honda Center and the Anaheim Convention Center. There will be several different options for guests to get the most out of their time at each location. First off, there will be complimentary round-trip shuttle service that will go back and forth between the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center before and after each evening’s shows. There will also be parking available at the Anaheim Convention Center, as has been the case in previous years. Disney promises that there will be additional transportation and parking details revealed closer to the event.
