On this day in 1949, the Donald Duck short ‘Donald’s Happy Birthday’ was released. In the cartoon, Huey, Dewey, and Louie save up money to buy their Uncle Donald a birthday present, but Donald tells them to save it. The boys buy their uncle a box of cigars and not realizing their intentions, Donald thinks they have taken up smoking!
