On Tuesday night, Disneyland hosted its first Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite of the season. There were quite a variety of characters to be found throughout the park during this hard-ticketed, sold-out, event. This included the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in some fun Valentine’s Day-inspired outfits, Mary Poppins and Bert in their traditional London outfits (including the carpet bag and chimney sweep prop), the Space Couple, and in Adventureland, Indiana Jones and Marion could be found!
The duo appeared to be on an adventure, that also happened to double as a photo shoot. After walking through Adventureland, they made their way up some stairs to the second level of The Jungle Cruise. Once in a place with a good vantage point, the duo studied a map and appeared to be looking for a long lost treasure. Guests below took pictures of the couple and with them.
Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood first appeared in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark. This was the first of the Indiana Jones movies and led to four more movies in the coming decades, the last two saw Marion return again to the franchise. The character has not been a regular visitor to Disneyland or the Disney parks in general. A stunt actor can be seen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort who resembles her. This person outright says that she is Karen Allen’s stunt double for the character.
