During the holidays every year there are programs that come through the collaboration of Disney Parks and ABC that bring the magic of the holidays at Disney to living rooms and homes. This year is no different. Today, Disney Parks and ABC announced the specifics about the 2023 Holiday TV Specials that include when they will be broadcast and who will be a part of them. Here are the broadcast details:
- The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration: ABC on Sunday, Nov. 26 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST) and stream next day on Hulu and Disney+
- Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade: ABC on Monday, Dec. 25 (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EST/9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. PST) and stream next day on Hulu and Disney+
Below are the specifics about each of these programs. The programs will be bringing the magic of Disney to homes from places like Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawai’i and from aboard the Disney Fantasy cruise ship. Once again Derek and Julianne Hough return to host The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration. For the 40th anniversary of Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, Country music star Mickey Guyton and The Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer will be co-hosting this Christmas day tradition.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration
This year’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration will include a performance by DJ Khaled along with the other following performers:
- Derek Hough and Julianne Hough – “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “What Christmas Means to Me,” “Dance to the Music” medley
- Michael Bolton & Mickey Guyton – “Christmas Isn’t Christmas”
- Andra Day and Adam Blackstone – “Someday at Christmas” and an Adam Blackstone original song “Legacy Christmastime”
- Mickey Guyton – “Jingle Bell Rock”
- Chris Janson – “Holiday Road”
- Tori Kelly “This Christmas” and “Winter Wonderland”
- Chrissy Metz – “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”
- The Smashing Pumpkins – “Silver Bells”
- Robin Thicke – “Let it Snow” and “Perfect Holiday”
- Iam Tongi – “White Christmas”
Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade
The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade comes from Walt Disney World Resort this year. It will include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and a host of other favorite Disney characters. It will also include some incredible musical performances. These include:
- Derek Hough and Julianne Hough – “Good Morning” and “Deck the Halls” Medley
- Chrissy Metz – “Silver Bells”
- The Smashing Pumpkins – “Evergreen” (A new, original holiday song!)
- Iam Tongi – “Mele Kalikimaka”
- The Broadway and North American Tour Cast of Disney’s “Aladdin” – “Friend Like Me”
- Meg Donnelly – “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)”
