Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

New Teaser Trailer Released for GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE

A new teaser trailer has been released for the next movie in the Ghostbusters franchise. The newest movie is called GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE. In this film, it appears that the original firehouse where the Ghostbusters made their headquarters plays a role in the plot of the film. It also appears that this movie will see a bigger return to the three remaining Ghostbusters, who appeared briefly in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Judging by this teaser trailer, they might have a bigger role this time around. It appears the older Ghostbusters and the newer Ghostbusters will be coming together to face off against this frozen ghost.

GHOSTBUSTER: FROZEN EMPIRE sees quite the cast of new and old actors to the franchise. This includes Carrie Coon as Callie Spengler, Paul Rudd as Gary Grooberson, Finn Wolfhard as Trevor Spengler, Mckenna Grace as Phoebe Spengler, Logan Kim as Podcast, Celeste O’Connor as Lucky Domingo, Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Ray Stantz, Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz along with William Atherton as Walter Peck, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind.

It is interesting to note who is doing what in this trailer. It is also interesting to note who is in the cast list, specifically the return of William Atherton as Walter Peck, the inspector who shut down the Ghostbusters in the original Ghostbusters. This could mean that whatever happens in this film relates directly to the actions of Peck in the first nearly four decades ago. Only time will tell how this movie connects with the others but so far it is looking promising! It also looks like it is building off what has worked before while moving forward with new ideas.

The film is set to hit theaters on March 29, 2023. It is being directed this time by Gil Kenan, who helped pen Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Jason Reitman, who directed the previous film, stayed on as a producer and writer for this film.
